Chelsea Garage Gallery
Situated in an old auto repair shop adjacent to the Highline, the design focused mainly on making use of the sheer volume of space. The result is a simple, well-proportioned room bathed in natural light by three sixteen-foot-wide skylights. The design pays homage to the building’s industrial past by employing modern versions of the garage elements such as the garage door, concrete slab, and even the original sign.
